Survival
or revival?
Dry bones?

Am I
seeking the I Am?

Am I
opening
Yielding
Intensifying
hungry
intimate,
experiencing
being empowered
connected with God.
Wells opening
living from
the Source of life
Praying with passion
encountering
widest imaginations
energising my spirit,
giving glory to God.
Such Richness;
Lord, I am thankful.

Now Declaring
a beginning
the pouring of rain
Drenching, filling,
life for the people
Life for the land.

We rise
speaking, soaking the future
living in the now
Rivers of life
from our spirit
flowing the heart of God
streaming intention,
hope, love
into the next
daily
divine appointment.

hearing about His life,
Celebrating God stories
living the future
of hope for the world,
only in the face
of fear,
is Bravery found
the step-out risk,
holding true tension
between full release
of identity in Christ
and actions that tell
His story,
You are sent
this week - sent
Going home - sent
opening the door - sent
starting to care - sent
driving to work - sent
busing to school - sent
asking can you pray - sent

The scent fragrance of Christ.

The phone rings
Repeated tones
buzzing your mind's corner
It rings...
How long are you
Waiting?
What will you
do now?

You are called,
It rings...
called to be a light
called to know
love and cleansing
from Jesus.
Like Twelve Disciples
changers of the world...
You?
In school
At work
Play and sport
University and polytechnic
At home, over the fence,
Peacemakers
calling justice
Action for new life
To shattered relationships,
To those picked-on
When will you pick-up?

Only in power
from God
Holy Spirit -
we await,
pick up, risk, step
Responding
to Your call,
Jesus
Your call,
People
Your call.

Starting Thoughts: Twelve people heard a call and the world was irrevocably changed as a result. If we hear the call changes will happen around us also, one person at a time.

Doors

Doors are simple things
push, or pull
how many times
do I pull
instead of push?
they open
you step through.
A different world
on the other side,
Thresholds of new
but fear makes doors complex;
locks, smart card swipes
to keep the world shut out.

In the black wandering
of my life
suddenly
I found myself wondering
in front of a darkened door,
Why had it appeared here
suspended in today’s
moments midst,
light cracking through
its outside edges,

Unexpectedly
a knock from the other side,
I thought
nothing was there
nothing beyond this life,
but someone
is waiting, standing
sending rhythm beats to my heartbeats.

In confusion anger
I reacted, “Go away”
"You have no right
to be here”,
“you don’t exist!"
I closed my eyes
and tried to think
of something real,

the knock sounded again fainter…thinner
unreal.
