Survival
or revival?
Dry bones?

Am I
seeking the I Am?

Am I
opening
Yielding
Intensifying
hungry
intimate,
experiencing
being empowered
connected with God.
Wells opening
living from
the Source of life
Praying with passion
encountering
widest imaginations
energising my spirit,
giving glory to God.
Such Richness;
Lord, I am thankful.

Now Declaring
a beginning
the pouring of rain
Drenching, filling,
life for the people
Life for the land.

We rise
speaking, soaking the future
living in the now
Rivers of life
from our spirit
flowing the heart of God
streaming intention,
hope, love
into the next
daily
divine appointment.

Not just positivity
Not just thoughts
Not just hopes
As child of the Most High
Let me give God glory,
release God's glory
Wherever I am.

Starting Thoughts: We are not just into good thoughts and positive vibes, feel good and do right. These are important but need to be offered in the power of God's love and glory for effective change.

Truth moved
into the neighbourhood
Sent to relate,
A mission
In fragmented, scattered lives
In the uncaring, indifferent.

Opening
New beginnings,
Restoration of lives
to God
to others,
Doing from being
centered in Christ,
Followers deepened in faith.

Sharing love, hope, questions,
laughter, pain, dreams.

There is so much more,
Reach for it.
Be the truth.

Starting Thoughts: How do we keep our love on and make a choice to connect with neighbours? In a world retreating from community and relationships we can be radical, show radical to others around us.

It is your time
this moment
The purposes of your heart
flying to a new horizon,
A sea sunset
before you,
Colour stretching opportunities
that look thin at first
in the light of day,
But stand brighter
as darkness falls,
And as you travel
to the distant thin line
Distance develops behind,
distance from previous relationships
distance from harmony conversations
Distance from the land left behind
distance from what has been safe
distance from love in the Christchurch city,

As you travel towards
the iridescent line
a new day dawns forward
in a dissolving horizon
Creating new destiny
new conversations
new shelter and freedoms
new love,
a luminous life
for you are
God's lights
fireflies to the horizon.

Starting Thoughts: Written for friends travelling overseas into mission. A word to encourage and celebrate their new journey taking part of us with them.

The phone rings
Repeated tones
buzzing your mind's corner
It rings...
How long are you
Waiting?
What will you
do now?

You are called,
It rings...
called to be a light
called to know
love and cleansing
from Jesus.
Like Twelve Disciples
changers of the world...
You?
In school
At work
Play and sport
University and polytechnic
At home, over the fence,
Peacemakers
calling justice
Action for new life
To shattered relationships,
To those picked-on
When will you pick-up?

Only in power
from God
Holy Spirit -
we await,
pick up, risk, step
Responding
to Your call,
Jesus
Your call,
People
Your call.

Starting Thoughts: Twelve people heard a call and the world was irrevocably changed as a result. If we hear the call changes will happen around us also, one person at a time.
