Small glances
small steps
small decisions
small hundreds and thousands
of love risks,
scattered confetti memories
that have lead you
to this greater affection,
in the rings
placed on your fingers,
an infinity of
gold metal dots
connecting in a circle
symbols of marriage celebration
time sealed and stretching
to your future vision together.

We honour your love
honour your togetherness
honour your individual uniqueness
honour your marriage sealed in Christ.

May you
Discover fun and laughter
smiles and hugs,
Discover great small moments
of love poured on, turned on,
growing on.

Starting Thoughts: Marriage is beautiful step after many small decisions to create connection and love. But growth in love and honour for each other does not stop there. You are now on the most exciting human journey of life.

Like discovering
a precious pearl in the mud
A precious gem in the rubbish,
A precious diamond in the rough,
Seek the precious
Change the culture,
Bring Favour
See the valuable
Add value,
Add truth,
Bring faith
Create a Treasury of love
A Reality of real love,
Speaking life
Finding good
Declaring what God sees
Calling Future into the present.

Starting Thoughts: How precious is Life and even more is the fact that this precious we discover is a simple reflection of the value - preciousness - of God and what He has done for us.

Living Memory

The sculpture was formed
Over fifteen years
Searing sun
Dust clogging nostrils
Bitter Spain winters
Snow cold fingers
An artist's hand
of paper sketches
turned into stone,
From an apartment
packed layered living
year by year
he travelled to the hills
and the house emerged
laboured into
existence,
beams bracing strong,
walls thickly blocked
staircase triumphantly leading
to second floor bedrooms
now holding memories of family,
And a BBQ shed for a king.

And spinning prior in time
Another artist
Who spun galaxies
wove atom by atom
an earth creation,
knowing us
Before we do,
This designer, God
had readied His
miracle
for the house builder.

Before doctors, family, friends
God knew,
Before the house creation
was the God who
holds all things together,
And then the builder
was gripped in cancer’s claws
A brain strangling mass
Oppression impending
Operation preparing,
Percentage chances murmured,
In desperation's hope
a whisper of insistence
from a loving wife,
trying in faith
to build trust
to ask God
for something.

And man not yet a builder
travelled a journey of faith
the cave of Lourdes bound
and the Jesus
who touched blind to sight,
lame to walking, diseased to wholeness
the Carpenter of reconstructing life
the Relationship builder
as Son of God, Son of Man
Turned the Miracle,
Not to the surprise
of the doctors
Who asked, "Where
have you been?"
Before
revealing the change.
Cancer gone!
No operation needed.

Thirty five years older
the house now
with inbuilt stature,
celebrating life
a daughter's marriage
a families journey,
Friends and family from
Spain, New Zealand
and many other nations
gathered to enjoy this life.

And the reminder
of all these memories
love in pain
struggles and tears
hopes and fears,
is embedded in the stone
a sculpture to remind
us all of the glory of God.

Starting Thoughts:
This spoken-word poem comes from a family wedding that we attended in Spain. The father of the bride had this encounter of miraculous healing from a his own personal history of a place of non- belief. As he built his new home on the hills over fifteen years, he crafted a statue celebrating the Cave of Lourdes and placed it over the doorway to remind himself of the miracle that had happened. A great story to hear!

I can't help but
inmost smile
as voices praise,
drums rhythm ,
Hands raise,
Music builds,
Songs from souls rejoice,
Worshipping together
Wild, loved and free
we dance in eternal grace,
Tied in time
Beyond the moments of now
to an empty grave,
To the powerful resurrection,
To love deep,
vast beyond comprehension.

The story
His glory,
Covenants through time's history
God's mystery,
Pursued
Secured,
Beheld
Held,
Treasured
Gathered,
Precious;
Transformed
Reformed,
Purified
Revived,
Identity
Authority,
Peace
Release,
Provision
Protection,
Bride
beside.

Bride of Christ
Know your husband...
Turn willing
Look to Him,
Your love's heart,
Adore Him,
Gaze deep,
Shine!
Shine!
Shine
In the power
of His Spirit,
Shine
In His glory
Shine!

Blue green bay mirrored
to your eyes
seeing in them
Sounds of our past
from "yes"to "I do"
times of passion
dreams together
laughter and stress
worship and mess

Lady in Red
breeze
in beauty

I love
the way we know
each other
the guessed thoughts
the respect for each
others talents

sharing time
